Well, it took about two weeks of hard work and persistance, but Clay made our rink happen. He also learned a lot of things for next year and probably killed a strip of grass, but, that's OK, our rink is a huge success. We are truly loving our backyard ice pad. We have had numerous friends and neighbours come over for a skate and a hockey game. The boys are improving their skating and hockey skills. AS for the girls, Grace is getting the hang of gliding and Fiona is doing well balancing while taking baby steps. Our biggest concern was the water bill it took to fill the rink, but it was actually less than our summer water bill, which leads me to wonder: where the heck did we use all that water in the summer?
